Feed Them the Steel by Mark Lemon

$30.00

“Feed Them the Steel” is the true Civil War story of the wartime exploits of Georgia’s only recipient of the SCV’s Confederate Medal of Honor, Captain James Lile Lemon, Company A (“Acworth infantry”) 18th Georgia Volunteer infantry regiment. This amazing narrative leads us from the excitement of the early days of the War, through the bloody and horrific battles of Gaines’ Mill, Second Manassas, Sharpsburg, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, and Knoxville. After his capture at the latter-named battle, Captain Lemon describes the deprivations and brutal treatment he and his comrades received at the hands of his northern captors, as a member of the famed “Immortal 600”.
